Despite heavy rains, 40+ enthusiastic farmers, including both men and women from Nagaon Kawathe Village, Sangli District, gathered to participate in our farmer awareness program organized by the Rotary Club of Navi Mumbai Hillside. The highlight of the program was an inspiring and highly interactive session by Dr. Suhasrao Khambe, a renowned microbiologist and agricultural expert, on "Soil, Water, Fertilizer Quality and Organic Farming." Farmers actively participated, asked thoughtful questions, and appreciated the practical scientific guidance that can help improve productivity while protecting soil health. As a gesture of encouragement towards sustainable agriculture, our club distributed 70+ packets of gourd and squash family vegetable seeds to the participating farmers, motivating them to adopt organic farming practices.
