Empowering Farmers Through Knowledge

Despite heavy rains, 40+ enthusiastic farmers, including both men and women from Nagaon Kawathe Village, Sangli District, gathered to participate in our farmer awareness program organized by the Rotary Club of Navi Mumbai Hillside. The highlight of the program was an inspiring and highly interactive session by Dr. Suhasrao Khambe, a renowned microbiologist and agricultural expert, on "Soil, Water, Fertilizer Quality and Organic Farming." Farmers actively participated, asked thoughtful questions, and appreciated the practical scientific guidance that can help improve productivity while protecting soil health. As a gesture of encouragement towards sustainable agriculture, our club distributed 70+ packets of gourd and squash family vegetable seeds to the participating farmers, motivating them to adopt organic farming practices. Parivartan Begins with Service 🌟 Greetings, Fellow Rotarians of District 3142, On the very first day of Rotary Year 2026-27, the Rotary Club of Navi Mumbai Hillside commenced its Parivartan journey with a meaningful act of service by distributing fruits to the children of Girija Welfare Association. The smiles on the faces of these children reminded us that even a simple gesture, when done with compassion, can create a lasting impact. My sincere appreciation to Rtn. Dr. Priyeta Priyadarshini, IPP Rtn. Dhashrath Bhujbal, and Secretary Rtn. Suhas Kadam for leading this initiative and translating Rotary values into action. As we embark on this new Rotary year, may every club and every Rotarian continue to transform lives, strengthen communities, and exemplify our motto, Service Above Self. Together, let us make Parivartan 2026-27 a year of meaningful service, lasting impact, and unforgettable memories.
